Microblading FAQs

  • What is Microblading

Microblading is a cosmetic tattoo performed specifically on the eyebrows. I manually deposit pigment into the skin using a hand tool. The tool used has a very unique formation of Microblading needles that allows me to create the look of real eyebrow hairs.

  • Does it hurt?

This is probably the most frequently asked question. My best response is everyones pain tolerance is different. It is a tattoo so some discomfort should be expected. I apply numbing for 30 minutes before I start microblading and during the service to help keep clients as comfortable as possible. If you chose to be micro bladed by someone else be sure to inquire about this prior to receiving a service as not all microblading artists use numbing cream.

  • How long does the appointment take?

I block out 2 hours for Microblading and Powder brows service.

  • How long does it last?

Everyones skin is different so it is hard to give an exact time frame. You can usually expect it to last 1-3 years. Microblading is semi-permanent meaning touch ups are required. I suggest getting a color boost yearly to help maintain the best shape and color. Keep in mind things like excessive sun exposure and tanning can fade the color more quickly.

  • Does it scar?

No. Microblading does not cause scarring. However, picking at the healing skin can cause a scar. It is extremely important the client not pick the flaking skin. Picking at the Microblading as it is healing can also result in a pigment loss. I encourage every client to follow the after care instructions given at the appointment.

  • Do I need to shave my eyebrows off?

NO! The purpose of microblading is intended to enhance what you already have. My goal is to make the microblading look as natural as possible so I create a nice brow shape around the eyebrow hair you currently have.
